Women's First Team First Assistant Coach
First Assistant Coach Kristin Boos is a former player now coach, originally from Sterling Heights, Michigan. Her love for the game of soccer has been consistent throughout her life, her favorite player being Sam Kerr. Boos’ transition from being a player to coach has felt seamless, as she has heavily relied on her leadership skills which were developed during her playing career. Her passion for the beautiful game shines through whether she's on the field or on the sideline coaching players.
As a coach, Boos is naturally attacking minded and always encourages players to embrace creativity on the pitch. She drew her inspiration from English football, particularly an emphasis on possession and taking control of tempo through intelligent play. Her philosophy when it comes to coaching continues to evolve as she seeks out new opportunities to learn and grow on the field.
Looking ahead into the future, Boos has clear goals for her squad in the upcoming season. Short term, she has a goal to build a cohesive and competitive team capable of competing at a very high level and to end up among the top teams in the Midwest Conference. From a long term perspective, her vision is to help set a standard for Edgewater Castle FC for many years to come.
What excites Boos most about her new coaching role at the club is the chance to contribute in a different environment than ever before, while seeing the team develop and come together to build that chemistry. With a special group of players this season, she is eager to help guide her team to success.
