Women's First Team Assistant Coach

Women's First Team Assistant Coach Nathalie Mathis brings an abundance of experience in both coaching and playing to Edgewater Castle FC. A former defensive midfielder for Dominican University who also played in Argentina 8v8, Mathis is no stranger to the game. Mathis also has spent the last four years with the Chicago Fire youth soccer club as the Head Coach of the 2006G Premier team. 

With a deep passion for the game, Mathis takes a player-centered approach, aiming to motivate players and push them to meet their goals and expectations. Her emphasis on fostering a competitive but positive and motivating environment makes her a fantastic addition to the team. 

Mathis comes in with ambitious goals as her eyes are set on the prize. She wants to help the team win the UWS conference, while assisting Edgewater Castle FC in recruiting top female talent and establishing the club as a strong presence in semi-pro women’s soccer at the same time.

She looks forward to learning from Coach Emma and making a meaningful impact as an assistant coach.
